WHY DONATE TO CAFE CONCIENCIA?
Cafe Conciencia and our Partner Communities depend on your help. Our
ultimate goal is the development of successful, self-sustaining
small businesses that will significantly improve the overall
standard of living in the communities. But we have a long way to go.
Low levels of skills, education, and resources, combined with rural
isolation and a lack of access to affordable credit make it very
challenging for community projects to fulfill their great potential.
WHERE DOES YOUR MONEY GO?
Your tax-deductible donation to Cafe Conciencia funds all of our various programs in collaboration with our Partner
Communities. Programs include skills training for coffee roasting
and ecotourism workers; promotion, sale, and distribution of roasted
coffee both locally and internationally; promoting and organizing ecotours; organizing
volunteers; providing micro-loans to community projects; etc.
Less than 10% of donations go toward covering our administrative
expenses.
